Haiku Garden – Where If Not Now
Haiku Garden made a breakthrough by qualifying for the 15th Club Marathon, which was organized by Radio Student three years ago. The following spring, Haiku Garden channeled all of its vigor, lucidity and playfulness, on the wings of favorable reviews, into a debut mini album (EP) Waver.
Unlike the majority of their shoegaze peers, Haiku Garden skillfully surfed between distorted dreamy pop and wavy new rock psychedelia in the production as well as the arrangements of the project. It is therefore expected that the band will expand musically into regions as yet unfamiliar with their performances.
Similarly to the Waver debut, their full-length album Where If Not Now demonstrates impressive and well-grounded production, edgy and transcendent arrangements and lyrics that extend beyond our narrow musical borders.
