Ensemble Modern in Munich with performances of works by Slovenian composers
The Ensemble Modern performed under the direction of Peter Eötvös in the Muffathalle in Munich on 11 and 12 December.

The concert programme features works of composers from Central and Eastern Europe. The event is the result of many years of collaboration between the Goethe Institute, the Ensemble Modern, the foundation BHF-Bank and the Bavarian Radio Station (Musica Viva). The project they prepared features the discussion between young musicians from newer member countries of the European Union, who address questions such as: "If and where can mythology and national identity be found in Central and Eastern Europe?" Composers from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary participated.
The programme also lists works by Slovenian composers Nina Šenk (Twenty in Five, 2012) and Matej Bonin (Kaleidoscope for an ensemble, 2012).
The concert will be recorded and included in the programme of the Bavarian Radio.
