Europe in Music Festival
The festival featured works by composers from all EU countries. Uroš Rojko was representing Slovenian music.

The Festival took place between Friday and Sunday in St. Marc's church in the Belgian municipality of Uccle, approximately 6 km from the centre of Brussels. The programme consisted of works by 28 composers, ranging from romanticism to modernism and contemporary pieces. Some compositions were performed for the first time in Belgium.
Uroš Rojko's composition 4 Novelettes for violin and piano was performed by violinist Déborah Devreux and pianist Eloïse Pekel.

Uroš Rojko is a well- known Slovenian composer and clarinettist. For the works in his opus, which numbers around 150 compositions, he received numerous recognitions and international awards, among them the 1st prize "Premio Europa 1985" in Rome, the prize "Gaudeamuspreis 1986" in Amsterdam, 1st prize at the "Wiener Internationaler Kompositionspreis 1991" and the "Prešeren Fund Award 1988". He lives and works in Karlsruhe, Freiburg and Ljubljana, and teaches composition at the Ljubljana's Academy of Music, where he himself studied clarinette and composition.
