Jazzahead: with Slovenian jazz to Bremen and further

NEW! Invitation to the Alpine Coctail NEW!

For several years SIGIC has been actively promoting Slovenian music at home and abroad. This year it will return to Jazzhead, the most prominent jazz fair in Europe. SIGIC already took part in the fair last year with considerable success.

The fair is visited by publishers, musicians, promotors, critics as well as other jazz audiences, who are all interested in the opportunities of collaboration and getting a closer look at the jazz scene. Jazzahead! (www.jazzahead.de) offers a wide range of events (with participants from 30 countries and 400 exhibitors) including concerts, workshops and conferences which ensure a professional perspective of the jazz scene.
For SIGIC, the fair, which will be held from 19th to 22nd April, is an excellent opportunity to professionally present Slovenian jazz. SIGIC will have its own stand in a central location, together with other subalpine exhibitors from Austria and Switzerland, which will further enhance Slovenia's visibility.

The comprehensive Slovenian jazz compilation set of 2 CDs published by SIGIC last year will also be presented at this year's fair. This will be the first in a permanent series of such  presentations, and will be followed by a new compilation publication of Slovenian ethno music. In keeping with its mission, SIGIC has been endeavouring to present and promote Slovenian musical creativity in a comprehensive way and will therefore display on its stand as many products and varieties of Slovenian jazz as possible.

THE ALPINE COCTAIL

We have the pleasure to invite all of you who are attending Jazzahead to our stand reception – the Alpine Cocktail, which we are organizing together with our friends from Austria, Switzerland and Südtirol.

Use this occasion to make many interesting contacts and enjoy a glass of wine with different specialties from the four host countries.

We are especially glad to welcome Mr. Marko Štucin, the Secretary for the Slovenian Embassy in Germany, to our reception as Slovenian special guest..

The Alpine Cocktail is taking place on Friday, 20 April 2012 at 4 p.m. at Congress Centre Bremen, Hollerallee 99, 28215 Bremen (Germany) at stand B 08
