Milko Lazar: Works of Milko Lazar for solo harpsichord/for harpsichord and obbligato violin

Pianist Milko Lazar is a weaver of sophisticated musical compositions with threads deriving from different historical styles yet offering their own specific contribution to a luxurious fabric of sound - recognizably rich, historically rooted but still contemporary, containing Lazar’s music signature. The album was released in Japan in June last year. It features some of Lazar's latest works, through which the composer reveals his own explorative ventures into the sonority and expressiveness of the harpsichord, this time paired with a contrasting dialogist, the violin.

Violinist Setsuko Sugita and harpsichordist Naoki Kitaya delved into Lazar's material only to present it with extreme sensitivity and tremendously deep soulfulness. This album is a story worth exploring; an intimate insight into Milk Lazar’s magical world of dreams, grotesques and travels, which is unique, recognizable and precious.
