Perpetuum Jazzile attacks Stožice - the largest venue in Slovenia
Perpetuum Jazzile (PJ), Slovene choir which performs a cappella arrangements of popular songs and compositions of various genres (pop/jazz/folk/gospel/classics) is celebrating 30 years of its existence with performances displaying its traditional vocal extravagance on a tour of Germany and the United States.
In March this year the vocal group left on a one-month USA tour, where it performed 12 concerts in 10 federal states, from New York in the East to Mason City (Iowa) in the North and Morganton in North Carolina. This second American tour took place soon after the first one in 2011 and was carried out with the help of collaborators in the USA (Wayne Halper, Mike Martinovich) and Tony Conway’s Management Agency.
PJ was also the guest of morning programs in 4 different TV stations. On the morning show of the Fox TV station in New York the choir performed the song Jump (by Van Halen) and the legendary Storm as well as Toto's Africa, for which they won international acclaim on YouTube with more than 14 million viewers.

In honour of last year's 40th anniversary of the group Abba, the choir released a medley of five Abba's hits, arranged by the choir’s artistic director Peder Karlsson which can be found on YouTube.
The yearly traditional spectacle Vokal Xtravaganzza will take place on 9 November in the largest commercial entertainment venue Stožice in Ljubljana. The concert is expected to fill the stadium with PJ's Slovene fans as well as fans from Austria, Italy, Germany and Serbia. The choir's president Jan Trost has revealed that the program will contain a mash-up of two great pop hits and a new arrangement of a composition »which all Slovenes know and are proud of«, whilst Karlsson added that this year's program was finalised during the American tour.
The vocal group will also be touring Germany from September through December. The tour will feature PJ's performances at venues seating from 1500 to 2000 spectators in Germany’s major cities as well as guest performances in many well-known TV shows.
