Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012
In May, Eva Boto will be representing Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest.
This year's selection of the song to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest started in October. Young singers participated in weekly broadcasts of Misija Evrovizija (Mission Eurovision). Two singers reached the finals, which were held on 26th February. The two finalists, Eva Boto and the sisters Prusnik, each presented three songs. The winning song was Eva Boto's I Believe (Verjamem), for which Vladimir Graić arranged and wrote the music and Igor Pirkovič wrote the lyrics. Graić had already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 when his song Molitva (Prayer), performed by Serbian singer Marija Šerifović, won the contest.
At the 57th Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, Slovenia will be represented by Eva Boto with the song I Believe (Verjamem).
