ZircuS – My Thing

The Band ZircuS from the town of Slovenj Gradec represents a specific phenomenon on the Slovenian music scene. ZircuS has always enthusiastically sought new challenges and approaches to music making as well as openly explored expressiveness encompassing multiple music genres.
They burst onto the scene with a high-octane mixture of hard metal rock fused with electro, industrial and trance influences, developing a tribal-theatrical style.
Previous albums were oriented towards a dystopian future, but their fourth one called My Thing, however, has presented a somewhat tamed vision. It reveals the sound stylistically rooted in the rudimentary and leaning towards a more conventional rock idiom. The band flirts with sharper alternative sounds in combination with more mainstream oriented rock. Sympho-rock bravado as well as folk and cabaret musical elements are peppered through the multi-layered and diverse compositions rooted in the spirit of progressive rock and rock neo-psychedelia.
