10 is stretching its creativity without limitation or regard to time, space or contexts. This time the Blu-Sine band feels even more avant-garde, propelling the narrative, charismatic, substantial and, above all, recognizable vocals of Urška Bajec to the front lines. Vocals serve primarily as the medium, like they do in the best trip-hop manner. The singer’s role has however grown from a museum guide to an experienced curator.
10 is a relatively demanding album, even for trip-hop standards, and it just calls out for a loud live performance. It is challenging but rewarding. Maybe not in its entirety, but who seeks shall find. And take notes. In lower case letters. Preferably live. And very loud.
