Clockwork Psycho - The Hated

Established in 2011, the Ljubljana psychobilly trio Clockwork Psycho fired up the fury of the punkabilly cocktail and quickly burst onto the international psychobilly scene. They toured with The Koffin Kats and later took to stages across Europe and performed at festivals such as Bedlam Breakout (England), Psychobilly Earthquake (Germany) and Moonshine Madness (Netherlands).
The third album by Clockwork Psycho showcases the band's unwavering devotion to their original idea – to play psychobilly their own way. Without any major production interventions, the band continues to break new ground and holds fast to its originally energetic, furious and combative punkabilly style with stomping bass, gushing drumms and guitar bravura. Clockwork Psycho adds its individual touch to rearrangements of folk songs In The Pines and the blues song Got My Mojo, boldly reworking and convincingly expanding on its impish and provocative musical language in its other compositions. The music on the album is suffused with expressions of vigorous directness and playful rawness with particular emphasis on the pervading country-blues mischievousness throughout the album. There is no need to lose words about the skapunkabilly hymn of the album The Bootsstomp Man – the band elevates the subcultural bustle to new heights.
