Daniel Vezoja’s debut album Where the Light Resides is an intimate poetic study where European folk motives intertwine with the authentic elements of Americana and highly stylized pop. The album was recorded last year at the Orphan Studio in Dublin with an attractive array of musicians - Gavin Glass (production, electric guitars, dobro, piano, Hammond organ), Scott Halliday (bass, drums) and Travis Lyon (pedal steel). Singer Joanna Marie joins in two songs.
The album works as a solid melancholic narrative that floods the cacophony of everyday life with its semi-acoustic serenity.
Where the Light Resides is radio friendly, sincere and evocative in all respects, whether it awakens nostalgic thoughts or memories of ancient and almost forgotten love. This is the work of a mature singer-songwriter with a clear artistic vision.
