Folk music is a broad concept, as broad as a poetry-set-to-music, and the duo Juvančič-Lapanja is well aware of it. Their third album Vmesje offers songs that were created for special occasions and couldn’t find their place elsewhere.
On this album with the appropriate title Vmesje (Betweenings), the protagonists present a wide range of their activities, from the "Scottish" echo of their second album Hope’s Beautiful Daughters, to the songs that remained unplaced, also "displaced," stories from "space".
Music is mostly intimate and minimalistically arranged, with some rockish oddities.
It's a concert recording with songs that you will not find on their conceptual albums. A kind of a "concert" studio work.
