Electro City Ljubljana – Various artists

Recently Electroliza released its first vinyl compilation – Electro City Ljubljana, which features electronic music by domestic as well as Croatian and Serbian producers. The compilation features tracks, which could, at times, be easily mistaken for pure-bread mid-nineties German electro, as well as influences coming from the “broken” unorthodox beats of the British scene and the noble sounds of Detroit techno. However versatile, the material has one thing in common: consistency at the technological level as well as an often retro sound, while still feeling fresh to the modern ear. Electronic music enthusiasts and club goers will not be disappointed.
The British authority on techno, Dave Clarke, attested to the quality of the compilation by playing not one not two, but three tracks from the compilation on his show Whitenoise.
Even though such local productions are usually condemned to a limited reach due to a weak distribution network, this release enjoys international exposure provided by the renowned Amsterdam-based service Bordello A Parigi.
