Larisa Vrhunc – Na robu tišine/On the Edge of Silence

Larisa Vrhunc\'s On the Edge of the Silence is the newest edition of DSS, a collection of albums with original compositions from Slovene composers called Ars Slovenica.
The dramatic structure of selected compositions perfectly rounds the composer\'s musical development from 2005 to 2013 and highlights her attitude towards music as an art form, where the internal human sense and reflection translate into the musical structure and the spectral treatment of sonic material.
In addition to returning to the original ideas, the compositions on the album reflect her personal style. In her musical language, she lingers on the edge of silence, in the elaborate richness of \"modest\" sounds, which, despite being focused on the colour spectrum, never fall into the kitsch, but rather strive for a lapidary narrative of the essential, sensually intimate experience of the individual.
The ensembles such as Aleph, MD7, Neofonia and Slowind have created sophisticated performances with a great deal of musicality, revealing their deep understanding of contemporary music and the intimate dimensions of Larisa\'s works.
