The young and talented pianist Zala Kravos performed in Brussels

On Friday, 21 February, the young pianist Zala Kravos performed at the Flagey Piano Days, which were held at the Flagey cultural center in Brussels (Studio 1). The Piano Days featured performances by many internationally renowned pianists as well as last year's winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition.

In 2012 the talented Zala Kravos joined the class of world-renowned Marie João Pires at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. The twelve-year-old pianist has already given more than 80 performances at different international venues and has also performed with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. With her performances at international piano competitions in Luxembourg and France, she has won a number of important prizes and recognitions. 

In November 2013 she took part in the World New Music Days in Bratislava and presented a contemporary program consisting of compositions by Slovene composers Peter Kopač and Igor Dekleva as well as the piece Crystal Dream composed specifically for her by the Bulgarian composer Albena Petrovic-Vratchanska – her performance of Crystal Dream can be viewed here. In April she is due to perform at the final concert of the 18th International Festival of Contemporary Piano Music ppIANISSIMO in Sofia.
